Gary M. Gershon

Gary Gershon is an independent systems architect and design consultant. His practice has specialized in integrating document management technologies with corporate business systems to provide practical and effective solutions for insurance and other large-scale production environments.

For the past five years, he has found object technologies to be a superb tool to support rapid prototyping to solidify user interface requirements with the added benefit of being able to subsequently refine the requirements products to become the basis for production code.

Objects also provide an ideal way to isolate the changing needs of business application code, including both graphical user interfaces and lights-out server processes, with various commercial document management systems. With a good design, the application code can be readily migrated to other products, and can even inter-operate among disparate vendor systems.
