Gary M. Gershon

In all engagements listed, Gary served as the principal architect and designer of the components described. In many cases, he worked as part of a larger project team, and in these cases no attempt has been made to describe the scope of the these umbrella projects, which included grand corporate efforts such as Business Process Reengineering engagements and large insurance underwriting or service integrated desktops. In each case Gary has had substantial involvement in the overall projects and made substantial contribution to these efforts, as well as the indicated components.

In many cases, his role has been to lead a team of developers, including a combination of client, vendor, and consulting people in building these solutions. This can be fun, productive, and provides an effective skills-transfer process.

Gary generally accomplishes the research and prototyping projects on his own. They have great educational value, and he believes that it is far easier to say to oneself "throw the whole thing away," than to do that to a colleague who has been following one's instructions. The result, in any case, is the ability to give the development team a working, rather than a theoretical, design.
