"We continue to enjoy living in Connecticut and get down to Shelter Island often. This past August, we pretended to be "summer people" by sailing down from Noank, Connecticut and sleeping on the boat in Dering Harbor.
Vicki has "retired" from her career as a paralegal and is now a full-time student at the University of Connecticut. Her education had been disrupted 29 years ago to get married and raise a family. Having accomplished that, she's doing well at school, and is particularly fond of the social sciences.
Brian has been working for Microsoft for five years now, and participates heartily in the outdoor activities of Washington and British Columbia. One can't rest on one's laurels in his company, so he's very busy absorbing the latest technologies.
Allison graduated last summer from Clark University and has been with DreamWorks SKG in Los Angeles for a year now. She's progressing with graduate school while working. We envy her warm weather, although, like Brian, she has a hectic schedule.
Gary has been working with IBM and large insurance companies as a consultant in document management, workflow, and object-technology systems. Big companies use such technologies to speed processing and keep costs down. His clients have generally been in the Northeast, but work requires travel away for home for several days most weeks. When not on the road, Gary's been improving his sailing, navigation, and photography skills, and, of course, surfing (and building) the Web."
