Workflow Management Publication

Application Design Class

Skill transfer is an important and often neglected task. We performed an engagement for an imaging and workflow company to author the materials and case studies, as well as present, a two and a half-day class in application design.

We gave this class on a scheduled basis for the first year, and since then the organization itself took on this task.

The class covers such topics as indexing attribute selection, folder design, legacy system interaction, document and folder naming conventions, defining workflows and introduction of new items into workflow, searching, and archiving.

Workflow Management Publication

For a workflow software company, We wrote a quite comprehensive guide to workflow concepts, terminology, and practices. This publication was used for customer marketing and technical personnel to provide self-paced education on the theory and operation of workflow engines, and introduce more advanced features such as parallel workflow with forking and rendezvous queues.
