Association for Information & Image Management International (AIIM)
The home organization for the document management community and producer of the huge annual AIIM Show and Conference. A sponsor and producer of numerous special interest groups, publications, and standards, including the Document Management Alliance (DMA) and the Open Document Management API (ODMA). Object Management Group (OMG)
With a membership of over 700 software vendors, software developers and end users to promote the theory and practice of object technology for the development of distributed computing systems. OMG has a Document Management Special Interest Group.
 
Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC)
A non-profit international body for the development and promotion of workflow standards. Of particular general interest is the WfMC Interoperability Specification (also known as Interface 4), which supports workflow processes between multiple systems.
 
Workflow and Reengineering International Association (WARIA)
A non-profit organization focused on BPR, workflow, and electronic commerce.
 
ACM - The First Society in Computing
ACM is the leading society for computer and information technologies. ACM is well known for its publications and the work of its Special Interest Groups, including SIGPlan (Programming Languages), which sponsors the OOPSLA conference.
